There is something amazing about a mineral like this. It’s astounding in it’s beauty, but it’s not quite natural- it’s been shaped by human hands. But this is something I’ve only appreciated as I’ve gotten older. I have many memories of being a kid bored out of my mind walking through mineral exhibition halls at places like the natural history museum (dinosaur and prehistoric man exhibits were more my speed).
